I had a beard algae issue for a little while, and although stepping up water changes and adding wisteria helped, it didn't entirely fix it. Re: Massive Tornado Outbreak! Stay Safe!
Our farm was four miles outside of the town limits. I dashed out of work and called when I found out, and the tornado missed the farm. Thank God.

Re: 30 gal for my beta?
Yes, those betta pellets sound good.
Don't use freeze-dried food or flakes.
Try daphnia. It's very small.

Re: 30 gal for my beta?
Any live or frozen invertebrate food (assuming it's safe and is the right size) is great. I have fed bettas bloodworms, blackworms, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, plankton, glassworms, krill, fruit flies, pinhead crickets, triops hatchlings, crushed snails (shell particles removed), and even shrimp or ...

Re: FS: cherry shrimp, 20 for $20 shipped
I can't give you a full package of 20+ 2, but I can sell you some for $1 each + shipping... say, up to 10? Shipping cost will depend on your location. Also, you'll need to buy a $3 heat pack.

Re: can lights cause stress?
More cover/hiding spots would shadow more of the tank. Many fish dislike wide-open spaces if they don't have a nice dark safe nook close by at all times, so it's important to make sure he has "safe zones" throughout the tank. In fact, fish that hide a lot frequently start spending more tim...

They're already in the tank? Did you consider quarantining?
