Re: Marbled Crayfish Breeding?
you can find a lot of information on youtube on breeding marbled cray... true marbled cray just keep cloning themselves....you need a lot of hiding and a fairly large tank exclusively for them.its not worth it for me to breed em and go through all that trouble. better off and cheaper off buying poun...

Remember to remove leaves or broken off plant parts, it rots and its just not something you want in you...

Re: Fahaka puffer...concerned
Fahakas aren't fish eaters, they are bad for the liver and if you compromise the bodies filtration, you're making it more prone to illness. Feeders may carry a lot of bad junk.

Re: Sick Valentini Puffer
Hello im sorry about the situation you got yourself into but its a sad fact ive learned about puffer keeping. Online Puffer babies are likely to be very sickly. The journey of a fish to a fish store is brutal, and then they gotta get shipped again to your home. From what ive picked up, puffers get s...

Re: Time for puffers
Hello, welcome to TPF!!! congrats on your hobby, its very addicting especially these puffers...they have their own personalities and are very rewarding to see them grow. careful though, try not to bite more than you can chew, Puffers are very high maintenance, and seeing one die is very sad. It migh...

Re: Dynamic Environments Help Fish
I don't support the bare bottom tank practice its depressing and counter productive. I also believe that a fish needs mental stimulation on top of physical to be happy and healthy.
Edit^ My puffer is very happy, don't judge him by the look on his murderous face.

I had my Fahaka with a Rainbow shark for almost a year until he ate him when I was moving houses.... Turns out the only thing that made them great partners was that he was fast and he called home a small hole in some décor that the fahaka could not even get into. I should have taken the shark out fi...

+1 to bertie's comments above. Most water pumps can be divided into "flow" pumps and "lift" or "head" pumps. IME, when you want computer or timer-controlled pumps, you are better off with higher quality pumps. +1 and to Bertie... I use 2 hydor pumps with the smartwave ...
