Do yall think its a good idea to plant the tank and put in some cheap tetra's or something like that(cheapest non goldfish at the fish store) to quicken the cycle. Then once cycled just let the congo eat the tetra's as dinner?

Thanks for all the info, I think i have my plan now. 1 congo and a couple of ottos, maybe some corys. Now to get the tank up and going. Use the plants and corys to cycle it. So plant the hell out of the tank, get 10-13 DP's and like 6 corys would be my best bet?

Ya after reading that I really wish I had the money and room for a 120+G tank. But I live in a small 1 bedroom apartment and dont have the room.
Seems to me my only option is DP's. Though I would rather have a large species, Ill get what I can. How many can fit in a 55 peacefully?
