Re: Confusing reoccurring problem, DPF

10 gallon tank grossly overstocked, should have no more than 2-3 in a 10 gallon under the best of circumstances!!! Pleco would be compromised by itself in that tank. Test strips are very inaccurate, need liquid test kit. I'd be willing to bet that you have an ammonia problem with such a crowded tank...

Re: Amazon pea puffers and angelfish

I was wondering if Amazon pea puffers and angelfish could get a long together in 55g aquarium, its heavily planted with and has lots of driftwood and hiding places. I mainly want to use the the puffers as snail maintenance and they could later be moved to their own 40g. I'm not worried about bioloa...

Yeah, maybe a few more cichlids so they’ll “play” with each other and leave poor puff alone!

Re: Figure 8 Puffer compatibility?

Clewliss, do you remember this......................? yes.. they will 100% harass the snail until it dies and they will eat it, they'd probably also do the same to any other fish species. Puffers don't play well with others. please, please, please do not experiment with living things you asked for g...

Re: How do dwarf puffers do with moving?

I moved all my fish (including Dwarf Puffers) in new Home Depot buckets with lids, air stones, air pump, and auto inverter to run the pump.
It was about a 10 hour drive.
The temperature remained stable with the car's heater/AC system.

Re: Please Help- In Search of Congo Puffer

Thawed or cooked shrimp? Shell on or off? I have shell on cooked frozen shrimp, but was unsure if I should have picked raw instead. My substrate is black 80% and white 20% but he likes a creamy tan color as far as I can see. raw food only - no cooked food! is your black substrate smooth-grained? ho...

Epsom salt wouldn't do any harm, not sure on the methylene blue.
Do you have a quarantine tank to treat him in?

Re: DP w/chin blister/abscess...idk?

sadly, this is often the end result of "rescue fish" (and cats, dogs, ferrets, sometimes even humans..................)
their health and long-term wellness are severely compromised by what they were subject to prior to getting a home
I hope your luck is better than this
