I have to agree with Bosshog on both counts, I would think that the territorial plec is whacking him while you are not looking, mine used to smack my 15 inch Mbu so they take no prisoners

aside from the reasons already quoted here I have an issue with ponds in that you can only see the fish from above and with the Mbu's ability to disappear in front of you I would worry that you would never see them. Righto do not feed silversides they are not nutritionally good for him. Mussels and prawns are a far better bet.

Hang on I think I may have made a leap here but what species id he? I thouht I read GSP but maybe he isn't?

Sorry for anothre question but how big is theodore? He may bee to small for full marine. These puffers are best kept in brackish and then slowly brought up to full SW as far as I know

Yeah I agree, I think the tuogh part will be the aggression and knowibg what triggers breeding. Its also tough sexing them as far as I know so that in itself will naturally cause problems. I think thy key is to give plenty of hiding places and lots of tall plants to block lines of sight. I recomend ...

Well when Clooney was alive he was 17 inches long I think and pretty damn round too, I think there are some new Mbu's to the site that will be topping that very soon
