A lizard piggy-back ride!!
I was feeding my lizards crickets when my green anole, Randall, jumped onto my completely careless and oblivious giant day gecko, Oz. He looked like a little Yoda!! FD3CCDAD-8ED4-4640-97C0-44B7C33F7193.jpeg 43F9ED2A-FE70-4CC5-8049-57799BF61C21.jpeg A0420D5E-69F1-4F4B-8D25-621445B1C1B4.jpeg “Mm...

Re: My Green Terror Lost An Eye
I’m not too sure yet. I don’t have space for a bigger tank, but I do have a 60 gallon semi-aggressive tank that I can move the severum into if space becomes an issue.

Re: My Green Terror Lost An Eye
Update: everything’s doing great! The terror is now swimming around normally, and his eye socket has filled out with flesh. The melafix treatment is working. As far as overstocking goes, I knew it could be a problem before I put in the severum and parrot, but made sure to get females (seeings they g...

Re: Leopard frog tankmates?
Oh, ok. Wasn’t sure if it had particular dimensions.
I’ll look further into what I can get for the frog. What I was looking at was 30 x 12 x 12, which came with everything required, but if that’s too crammed for the frog then I’ll look at something else. Thanks!

Re: GSP Tiny White Spots? Ick?
I tried to soak it in the bloodworms, which then spread into the tank water because I used too much.

Re: Leopard frog tankmates?
I definitely will look further into the tank size. How many frogs did you have? The kit has a certificate for 1 free frog, but I might get another just for company. Did you keep the frog with anything else?

Re: GSP Tiny White Spots? Ick?
Is it possible you could post pictures? If it’s internal parasites, he will start to become thinner. Pay attention to his poop. If it is white or clear, that’s a good sign of IPs. Multiple treatments work, one for ich being the salt method, and for IPs being either certain medications or garlic juic...

Re: GSP not eating and belly turning grey
I had a SAP with very similar problems.
Is his belly fully grey in color, or are they grey patches? If it’s patches, then that and the not eating could be stress. Seeings you just moved him, the not eating can be completely normal for any fish, since he has to get used to his surroundings.

Re: Leopard frog tankmates?
Thanks! I have also read about their jumping, which is actually the only reason I haven’t bought the particular tank yet. As far as the glass goes, which I’ve read could be problematic, would a terrarium background work out? I am a beginner to frog keeping (besides ADFs and ACFs), and do want to mak...

Re: Leopard frog tankmates?
Tadpole KIT ! There’s no misunderstanding or confusion on my end. Sorry if I wasn’t clear enough. A tadpole kit gives you a certificate to order a tadpole, which you’d grow. Did you think that the tadpole just came with the kit, waiting in the sealed box to be bought? Now, to avoid any other confusi...

Re: Leopard frog tankmates?
you keep contradicting what you say. If you had done your research, you would know that a leopard frog needs a semi-aquatic environment, and that a 20g long tank is not nearly big enough to provide that. I am fully aware that leopard frogs are semi-aquatic, and am also aware that this is about fish...

Re: Does anyone else have bad luck with African Dwarf Frogs?
I feed them frog pellets, blood worms, and snails. The older frogs is a possibility, but I feel like they drop dead regardless. Older frogs usually get skinnier and more sluggish, and they seem pretty fast and lively before death. I do find that at petsmart, they’re treated more like fish, and aren’...
