feeding them spinach has always been the key for my snails, throw in a few leaves every few days and you should get a population explosion. I think the best way to catch him would be to chase him with a net into some tuppleware and then transfer.

Air stones are opinion but often times puffers find them entertaining and seem to enjoy the feeling of the bubbles.
