Yeah that's where i had seen it. I think the price has gone down, last time i saw it about a week ago. Did you see how stressed it was? I was very surprised it was still there and alive. Well, unless they get them in often and place it in the same tank. This store is also the place where they miside...

Refractometers

My question is does brand really matter? when purchasing a refractometer. The two that i am looking at are: First one: http://cgi....

Thanks to everyone who has tooked the time to post your advice.

I have a 40 gallon tank plan to get about 2-3 F8's. Plan to slowly raise the salinity to avoid cycling the tank again. Does tiny influcts matter greatly? As i would assume change in SG would vary in the wild. I think i will have to go with the Hydrometer rather than Refractometer for now as cost is a...

I just thought it would be easier to have a method rather than test on a constant basis. Like having a recipe to get a desired SG level and if you follow this recipe the SG level sould stay constant. Anyway these are just how i thought it would work. But if you recommend this i will do what you have...

Cool thank for the info. Would you say roughly a tablesoon per gallon is right? As it would seem weird to test the SG of the water that i will replace in the tank on a weekly basis. How do you yours and what method do you do when replacing water when doing water change? Sorry for all the questions b...
