Please read that article again. in Andrew's defense... I went back and read that article before i was going to post something of the same sort. The article never explicitly states that a f8 needs 15 gal. I know, I've read it twice now. It does say they need the same size tank and SAP, and links to ...

i wound up with 4 males and 1 female in a 10 gal because of the same problem and misinformation about Fish per gal from the fish store (this was before i found the puffer forum). i found that with the exception of mating season (spring) they all got along perfectly. maybe it was because they grew up...

someone is going to ask this eventually, I'm sure: do you have a hydrometer or other tool to measure the SG (specific gravity/salinity) of your tank? if no, you're going to need one in order to maintain the proper salinity in the tank. if you have one/once you get one, yay! As I understand it, each ...

my DPs do very well with some male endlers an a three lined cory (Corydoras trilineatus). i have yet to see the DPs nipping the endlers, and the only time ive seen the cory nipped was when i went out of town and they missed a few meals, but at feeding time if the DP drops a bit of snail to the grave...

I would say go with a dwarf or two, but then i don't have any experience with the red-eye. IMO i think a red-eye is a bit big for a 5 gallon, i would think you'd want at least 10 to give him enough swimming room. not sure about the oto or shrimp. my DPs attack shrimp though. i would say no MTS, but ...

You could try some Amano shrimp, but if your puffers are attacking otos, there's a good chance they'll attack the shrimp. Mine live happily with ot...
