Just wanted to update you guys on my F8. These spots on him are going away and he's still being super active and eating like a little pig. I plan to keep the tank temps up at 86 just to make sure.

J-P- I haven't noticed him flashing or rubbing at all. I watched him for a good 20-30mins straight last night to make sure I wasn't missing it. There are a couple that I mentioned in my post above. I just can't get them in the pics. How often would ich move? It seems that these spots move around pretty often. More than once a day.

I don't see ich on that fish. Are you sure it's not his tiny spines you are seeing? Ich needs to be treated at 86 degrees. My GSP is starting to get brave. The last couple of times I've cleaned/syphoned the tank he has been getting closer and closer to my hand and the syphon. I usually just move my fingers or the syphon his way and he retreats. Not sure what I'm going to do when he gets bigger though.

Hmm...my old GSP (Nismo) actually did the opposite of what you are describing. He would have a white belly during the day and a dark belly while asleep/just waking up. Wondering what others have experienced as well.
