Re: For Sale: Dwarf Water Lettuce

I had sold all of it, but it's been long enough that it has all grown back. You're in luck!

I'm on vacation right now, but we can work something out as soon as I get back.

Jungle Parasite Tabs Clearance!

I was at my local Walmart the other day and noticed that Jungle parasite fizz tabs were taken off the shelf. Normally 3-4 dollars, I found them in the clearance aisle at $.75 per box. HUGE discount and I am being lead to believe that Walmart will no longer be carrying them. If you have a local Walma...

Re: GSP - Hopefully

I've always read to not have any decorations/accessories in the tank that the puffer cannot swim out of when fully inflated.

However small the risk, it's not one that I would be willing to take.

Re: GSP - Hopefully

I'd skip the pipes. You don't want anything in there that your puffer could get inside, puff up, and be stuck.

I just vacuum them up with the siphon during water changes.

Re: Vacation time!

Back from vacation, but not so pleased! First off, I had a good time, but not great. I really wish that my husband and brother could have come. But, oh well. Second, the tank was absolutely filthy! I was thinking that I'd rest when I got home last evening, but my suitcases hit the floor and I went s...

Not familiar with plant life in creeks and such, but the "mossy stuff" you collected looks a lot like algae.

Re: So I REALLY want a figure eight puffer

I do not normally put this out there, but I have severe mental illnesses that I've suffered from since childhood. They've gotten worse in my adult life and I have now been disabled for several years. There is no substitution for the correct therapy and, if necessary, medications, but I can tell you ...

Re: Vacation time!

Arny, I can copy/paste the instructions that I left for him when I get back home. I typed them up on his computer. I called and he seems to be doing well. My lights are on timers. Since my tank is planted nicely, it's important to me for the lights to be on for consistent periods. My husband is anyt...

Re: Vacation time!

Lest he wish for castration, he is under strict direction to add absolutely no food to the tank that isn't in a baggie! He's one of those people that doesn't "get" fish, but he does like to watch them. Except the blackworms, I guess... but I made him do a practice run last night and asked him to sho...
