sorry to say he didnt make it. It could have been parasites. I hope my other one is ok. They both came from the same tank at my LFS. Like I read, they can be caught from the wild with the parasites. Especially the F8's I hear.

There are no red things coming out. I think he is blind now too. He wont even flinch when I put my finger up to him. I think im going to take him out.

Oh yeah. I forgot to say that his belly is starting to turn light brown in one spot.

I just got 2 new f8's a week ago. The one is doing great but I have noticed that my other is not eating as well and is not really swimming that well. He rolls sometimes and other will swim fine. I think that he is on his way out. The strange thing is that his anus is open to about the size of a pin ...

I have the same issue. I did 2 water changes before mine died. I have been checking it every day and everything looks great so im going to get a F8 tomorrow and watch it carefully. Hopefully everything will work out. Im not an expert but im trusting the people in the forum to guide me. Good Luck

Thanks for your help. Ill have to try to find that bio-spira. I'm going with a F8 this time because my tank is smaller. I may start a bigger tank later once i get this tank set up. Ill let you know how I make out with the F8. I should be getting it Monday if the tank is fine.

Well my GSP just died :( The change must have been too much. I dint want to give up on the puffers. What should I do with the tank before I get another. Should I get a starter fish or should the tank cycle itself with the bacteria that's already i it. I have three small ghost shrimp in it that were ...

I just checked my water after it had been running for 2 hours. Everything looks better. ph8 nitrates0 nitrites.1-0 ammonia 0. Now i just have to see if my GSP will survive it all.

If I do an 80% water change should I put anything in the water minus the conditioner. He has also wedged himself in between the filter and the wall with his mouth at the top sucking air.

It's possible. I think Ill take your advice and take the rock out. My water changes dont seem to be helping so there must be a problem somewhere. Do you know if I can put more of that "cycle brand" liquid in or should I wait until my next change.
