I just recently found out that there was actually another type of Fahaka Puffer from a different region. The ones we normally see grows to about 18"-24" and very aggressive. The other type I just found out about doesn't grow as big 3"-6" according to the seller and can be kept as...

We all got it at the same time, but not too sure about the age of the puffers. but they were all about 6 inches when we got them. Our feeding habits is probably different, but we only feed them lobster and clams.

I have a fahaka and 3 friends that also has fahakas, I tried comparing the difference between them. I noticed that either they have a round body and short head, or a more elongated body and bigger head. Does anyone else notice this? Wonder if these are clues of determining the sex.

I thought the puffers teeth will be able to slice through those clams? oh well now I have to crack 100 clam shells. But it's well worth it for my puffer. I'm just worried those clam shells will cut the puffers inside if they eat it.

I should of asked in this forum before I placed a bid. Well the clams was only $10 for the whole bulk so it's cool.

Should I quarantine the clams first and then freeze them or can I just toss them in the freezer? so I take it I would have to thaw the clams when time to feed right.

I just bought a bulk order of 100 freshwater clams from aquabid for my Fahaka. He is 7" and the clams range from 1"-3".

My concern is will it be over kill on his teeth if I only fed clams to him every feeding and nothing else?
