darn, I had a side shot saved on my computer but deleted it. You couldn't see anything from the side though, I will try to get one later today. On a side note, what color substrate would make his colors stand out.

I was able to get a shot of his belly last night, this fish def sleeps weird, after taking the shot he woke up and started to drag himself around the floor until he found a better place to sleep and went back to bed.

Has anyone had any success in keeping a dwarf puffer in a community tank? I was told by everyone at the LFS that puffers do not do well in communities, and even read that on the internet. I specifically setup a small tank for a dwarf puffer, then my roommate decides to put one in his 55gal tank, and...

Puffergirl- I thought he was a female too based on the top coloration, and also the vertical stripes. But I definitely notice a rib protrude from the bottom of him when he feels threatened. The tank looks a lot better now, those pictures are a couple days old, all the plants are starting to fill up ...

So I re did the tank, added an inch of sand, and a some mayaca, java fern, and some other plants given to me by a friend. I noticed a little rib protrude from the bottom of the puffer while I was feeding him, so this little guy is definitely a male. I honestly spent two hours trying to take pictures...
