Eel tank mate
I have a few GSPs in my tank and I was wondering if anyone has any info on keeping them with a snowflake eel. I watched a few videos on youtube with people keeping them in the same tanks but I just want a little more feedback. I will only buy it straight from being a young one so it is smaller. I th...

Help with a Puffer/boxfish/cowfish ID
There is a box/cow fish I saw at the store a few weeks ago and it was awesome looking. He looked kinda like Super Shredders helmet from Ninja Turtles. Silver and had rows of spikes going backwards down both sides and on the top going back. WHAT IS HE?!?! Can't find him anywhere. He had that helmet s...

Re: Help with Snail Breeding
Yeah they are snail killers, like you said, don't even get to hit the bottom they get them so fast. This is great, I will just throw up my old little snail breeding tank then for food supply. Thats cool, yeah, my buddy used to feed live FW fish to his lion fish until the guy at the store told us not...

Re: Help with Snail Breeding
If I breed freshwater snails (easy) is it safe to toss those in my saltwater tank? I heard from people that its not good to throw any freshwater food into salt tanks because something with bacteria or whatnot from the freshwater is not good for the salt water. If I could do this it would be awesome,...

Re: Help with Snail Breeding
This is what I used to do with freshwater snails as this article is about, is it pretty much the same for salt water snails? I heard not to feed my puffers live freshwater food once they are in the saltwater because it will harm the tank somehow from freshwater bacteria and such. Are there any certa...

Help with Snail Breeding
I have a 20 long sump under my 75 gallon tank and I am looking to breed snails in it that I can feed here and there to my puffers in the tank above. Does anyone have any tips on breeding saltwater snails? Which snails are the easiest to do this with? From what I know with freshwater you just put the...

Re: converting GPS to full marine
Thanks punk, this is a pretty cool way to acclimate, sounds easy enough also. Any idea if all my pH and all those levels are right if I can put the puffers straight to the tank without first having in some damsels for awhile to cycle it? The tank is loaded with live rock and live sand and has been p...

Re: converting GPS to full marine
Yes, I have been doing 50% water changes. They still have awhile to go before they get salt. I know that the 4 of them are small for the tank, they been doing really well though and show no signs of stress, I figure as long as I have had them and how well and healthy they look and have been that I c...

converting GPS to full marine
Hello, I have 4 green spotted puffers that I am in the process of turning marine. All I have been doing is adding more and more marine salt with every water change. They seem to be loving it. Anyways tho, anyone have any extra tips on doing this? They are the only things living right now in the brac...
