Bumblebee gobies to cycle?

Ive got a 20 gallon thats been cycling for a few days. Im gonna get a figure 8 when its ready, but in the meantime do you think i could put a bumblebee gobie or 2 in the tank right now to help it cycle? or do they need a fully cycled tank?

Re: jumping off the pufferfish bandwagon ?

Im going to do it!! Im going to go get a tank today hopefully. Its most likely going to be a 20 gallon because they dont make 15's here anymore, so hopefully that wont be too hard to maintain haha

i went to go get a tank for what was my furture F8, but I went to my lfs and got some information out of the lady that worked there. She has pet puffers of her own, and she kinda scared me out of getting one now. Im not 100% sure im ready to commit. I mean the water changes and tank levels would be ...

Re: Getting Lagunas house on Thursday =]

You need to cycle it until it's cycled. If you cycle with ammonia or food, it will take a couple weeks to a couple months. If you cycle by using the filter from an established tank, it should be instant. Now with this 'cycling with food' thing. Ive read where you can put fishfood into like a nylong...

Introducing F8 into brackish water?

Figure 8 - right for me?

I am in love with figure 8 puffer fish. However, i am debating between a dwarf and a figure8. If you were new to owning puffers, which would you choose? I love the size and marking of a figure8, but I like that a dwarf only needs a 5gallon lol.
