Re: Aging silicone – how much time do I have?

If u look at the ge silicone 2 it contains a mold inhibitor. That is bad for your fish. Ge silicone 1 is 100% silicone with no mold inhibitors in it. Also if you have any questions go to aquariacentral.com. Go to the DIY section and you can find more info there.

Re: Aging silicone – how much time do I have?

I thought it was ge 1. Just be sure it doesn't have any mold inhibitors in it, they are harmful to fish.

Re: Planning on getting Gsp, few ?'s

Not right away, just gonna string him along. I wanted to but still alittle unsure bout the whole marine system. I think going brackish then full marine would be easier for me at least to get used to it. It was really tempting to just set it up full marine but I chickened out. Plus I don't have funds...

Re: Planning on getting Gsp, few ?'s

Ok I have a lot in there. Have both intakes covered in it and stuffed as much as I could in there. Also I'm running my back up filters on it, is it safe to put my eheim canister on it? I just bought it for the little guy and don't want it broke before I get him. So I should just start the cycle now ...

Re: Planning on getting Gsp, few ?'s

Thanks for the replys. I did have decorations in there before the large change but now there are none. After a day or two the sand does settle but again does aragonite sand always stir up easily? Also is the filter floss called that? I have quilt padding but says poly floss But it isn't polishing an...
