Re: F8's tooth getting bigger
Thanks for the responses thus far. What kind of crunchy foods would you suggest. He still eats normally, I'm just worried it will become a problem in a month or so, so I want to be prepared.

F8's tooth getting bigger
Hey everyone, I did some research, but I'm really crunched for time because I'm moving into my new apartment and need to move my F8 there soon. His tooth is getting bigger and bigger. I bred snails all summer and fed them to him, but it doesn't seem to get smaller where I feel like he is comfortable...

Re: Can I see your F8/Brackish tanks and no plants?
I made this detailed picture a month or so ago on my F8's 20 gallon.

Fake wood, fake plants, lace coral rock with aragonite substrate.

Re: Can bumble bee gobies be mixed with f8's?
I had a trio of BBGs with my single F8 in my 20 gallon. They lived happily for a month, but a few days ago, I gave away the gobies. My F8 tended to eat their food. I even bought huge tweezers to try and place the food in front of them so it would flow toward them and they could snatch it. I have a l...

Hey there, 20g brackish F8 tank you say? Check out my build thread, it's on another forum though. Their brackish section was lacking.

Re: Figure 8 Puffer tank
Change of plans, the driftwood I ordered wasn't as big as I expected so I'm going with a large fake root like piece of decor and a smaller log + some natural (boiled) rocks for my set up. Pics in a week! I have a build thread going on over on this forum: http://www.myfishtank.net/forum/brackish-disc...

Re: Figure 8 Puffer tank
Will do, it will be after finals week though (about two weeks), before it's done soaking and everything. I've heard so many mixed reviews online so I'm hoping for the best

Re: Figure 8 Puffer tank
Of course! I have my F8 in a 10 gallon tank right now (temporary of course!) Here is what it looks like: http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b92/CCCoray/0414100343a.jpg New tank has more rocks/caves, some Malaysian driftwood (We'll see how that does in brackish), more silk/plastic plants, and of cours...

Re: Figure 8 Puffer tank
Thanks for the replies everyone. I plan on getting a lot of the rock decor that is $2 or so per pound so I can create my own caves and what not. Anyone have suggestions for a substrate? Any links or something would help! Thanks again

Re: Figure 8 Puffer tank
I actually have the Instant Ocean hydrometer, so that's good news. I was planning on getting the Aquaclear 50 before posting this thread. I felt the extra filtration couldn't hurt. The 30-40 gallons filtration unit should be sufficient.

Figure 8 Puffer tank
Hey there, I've been reading and research F8's for awhile now and have been lurking the forum for the past few weeks and I was wondering how my tank check list looks so far. As of now I only plan on having one F8 in a 20 gallon tank. My check list for it.. Add or advise if you want. Bought/Have: -Wa...
