Just a quick Q: why no sand in the tank? That is an excellent source of bio filtration. Sorry i left this out in my previous reply. I was actually thinking of substrate. Why no substrate is because when they were transfered from my pond to my house tank i wanted to make sure there aren't any other ...

I can't say I know anything but it is just a guess. Wild caught react different than captive raised. The actual actions sound like nitrate poisoning vs bare bottom but since we don't have the numbers we won't know. Just a quick Q: why no sand in the tank?
