it's a 250ltr tank, he has been in an open tank now for around 8 months. I also have a drip tray on the top which covers around 3/4 of the tank top. He's ace and feeds well with all the other fish in there. He spends most of the day hanging around nr my maroon clown too

The upgrade so far, yes thats a Topaz in full out marine and lovin it

yer i'm running a 50" x 22" x 18" tank now, moving house in may next year and have a 6ft ready, will pop somw pics on later today

You may need a larger tank after a few years but i dont see a problem in having 2 puffers in the same tanks as long as you add them together and both very young. I have a topaz puffer and a dog faced hush puppy puffer, both around 3 inch and get on great, even feed together too

Hi All

the past week my topas has been getting very bloated on the left hand side when he eats, not just the normal round bellow but very large on the one side, it goes after a few hours but comes again the next time he eats.

I have tryed feeding evey other day but its the same

oh and should i fill this new one at 1.024?

I just got hold of a 27 us gal tank for my little topaz, what the hell do i do now. i collect it in the morning, as you know he currently lives at 1.010.

best read all the links posted above, i did the same as you around 5 weeks ago and still not fully right, best of getting that larger tank and see if you can get some used filter from a pet shop (not walmart) and cram it into your filter, this will help loads, also check out some of the live bacreri...
