Re: ID This Fish PLZ
yes indeed, they just lay burried in the sand, doing nothing...but awaiting its dinner =D I love this fish! I have him in a tank with sand substrate and it is so cool to watch him camouflage. I have some feeder guppies that I breed myself in that tank, but is there anything else I can do to make sur...

Marble Goby = Oxyeleotris marmorata
I recently purchased this fish at my LFS. I am not exactly sure the species of fish he is. I was told at the FS that he was a goby, but I was not told what species of goby. I am thinking he might be a Butterfly Goby/Wasp Fish. His face looks similar to that of an African Butterfly Fish but he is not...

Re: F8 with dragon goby?
wow its really nice to hear that. i think i will get one soon.
can you guys give me some tips as far as feeding goes.
ive read that they have poor vision so i feel that the puffers will have an upper hand during feeding. is there anything (methods) to improve food intake by Dgs?

Re: F8 Scratching on rocks
NO WHERE IN MY POST DID I SAY I DONOT DO WATER CHANGES ... lol I said I had not done any recently (withing 1 day of when the itching started) to when a question was asked to me. I do ~25% WC 1.5 weeks and 50% every month. Iam running two Marineland Magnum pro filters (200 gallon filter capacity) To ...

Re: F8 Scratching on rocks
I had two puffers die the other day and I saw one of them scratch up against some thing in the tank.. after talking to J-P, I think it was because of a recent water change that involved spring water..something is just different about the spring water..I am not smart enough to tell you what :) My pu...

F8 Scratching on rocks
For about 5 days now, one of my F8 puffers has been scratching on the rocks, against the sand, and other decorations in the tank. Ive looked at the fish but there seems to be no ick on him no any of the other puffers in the tank. Theres also no other visible signs of parasites, fin rot, or any wound...

Re: Are F8s schooling fish?
i currently have them in a 65-70 gal tank (not exactly sure). I know it may be over stocked (after adopting a couple from a friend). I have 2 filters running, good aeration, water parameters are normal, except nitrates are around 5ppm (i think is my tap water), theres plenty of caves, rocks, and pla...

Are F8s schooling fish?
Ive noticed that my seven F8s tend to swim together across the tank. Not only that, they sleep together as a cluster, and sometimes I see them all at once swimming up and down the side of the tank... does this mean they are schooling fish?

Re: Does anyone have experience with API Super Ick Cure and F8s
Were you keeping up with the large WC too? Well, Super Ick Cure instructs to do a water change after 1 full treatment. Dosing is to be given every 48 hours for 96 hours. After the 4th day you do a 25% WC, and of course, you are supposed to have carbon media out. During the treatment, I actually had...

Re: Does anyone have experience with API Super Ick Cure and F8s
I felt really bad seeing poor little puffers covered in white spots scratching against the sand, plants, and rocks. I had the temp up to ~84F and added salt but they where still on the puffers after two weeks. I think that the meds helped out in killing the protozoan. Although it has not been comple...

Re: Does anyone have experience with API Super Ick Cure and F8s
Im happy to report that after almost 4 days of treating F8s with half dose of API super ich cure, i have seen improvement and best of all my 7 puffers are still alive. Before the treatment almost all puffers had alot of white spots on their fins and top of body. Now these spots have greatly reduced....
