Re: HELP

Thanks for all your help. everyone. I to go to a fathers day event this afternoon and when I returned home Bob had passed away. I bought the test strips on the way home, set me back 20 bucks, but that doesn't matter. I miss him RIP bob. I don't think I'll consider buying another puffer until I can g...

Re: Questions about saltwater.

As far as waste, I do clean it often to keep the waste down. I've had him for a year now, and he hasn't shown any signs of stress or puffing due to the environment. He seems quite happy ATM. I bought a product designed to cycle with for a couple of days before I put him in the first time. More recen...

Re: Questions about saltwater.

Well it's a 10g (I know I need a 30.. moving to that at a later date, he's about an inch and a quarter long now). My GSP is the only inhabitant at this point and will likely remain so. I just read that I can avoid a skimmer if I change the water on another forum, is this true, and how often would I ...

Questions about saltwater.

Please, give me a hand. I understand that my puffer will trim his teeth on live rock and I was wanting to raise to SW so I can add live-rock and the like. What do I need to upgrade? And by need, I mean absolutely need. I am a poor college student making my rent. So far the tank is brackish (from fre...

Re: GSP Questions. Eating Habits/Habitat.

Food consumption does not decrease with age, it increases as long as the puffer is actively growing - which is until the fish is full size. After that consumption does taper off a bit, but it is not a marked decline in total intake per week, it is just a difference in meal size that the keeper offe...

GSP Questions. Eating Habits/Habitat.

I've been keeping my GSP in a freshwater environment for a couple of months now and he seems fine. Is it possible to continue this or will I shorten his life if I don't continue a move to a brackish environment? He is about one inch long now, and still seems very lively. Also, will he eat himself to...
