Re: Disoriented Puffer, Swimming almost vertically
We think so, he'll be released at the water change and we'll keep an eye on him to see if the others are picking on him. However, the occasional one is trying to bite him through the net.
Here's the video, sorry about the quality but I shot it on my phone.

Re: Disoriented Puffer, Swimming almost vertically
Yes, all of the frozen foods are soaked in Vita Chem and more recently in Selcon as well (so the food is soaked in both) as we believe it to have a higher amount of HUFAs and they eat the same frozen foods as the discus. All the others are doing perfectly fine.

Re: Disoriented Puffer, Swimming almost vertically
We haven't because he has absolutely no problems staying on the bottom of the tank and horizontal on the bottom. He's swimming head up and occasionally swims head down to get food or to look around a bit but most of the time when he eats he sits on the bottom, scoots/drags himself forward and sucks ...

Re: I-Pod Suggestions
Just an fyi, I've used my 3rd gen iPod nano with nike+ on a treadmill and it worked perfectly fine. If all you do is use the treadmill, then you can recalibrate the sensor/software to that gait. Also, if you want to save some cash, check out the Apple Refurb store on Apple's site. They are refurbish...

Substrate for Abei
I'm curious, what colour and type of substrate do you have your Abei on? From the pictures that I have seen, when they are on dark substrates it gives them a much darker colour versus when they are on lighter substrates.

Re: Tank Upgrade Time!
I can't wait to hit that PetsMart again to see if they have received another shipment of those tanks. What's 6 more tanks between friends? lol Now if only they'd put the 40+ gallon tanks on sale like that! Oh how I would love to pay $55-60 for a brand new 75 gallon tank.
