Finally got my Puffer..!!!
Picked up a 9 inch Porcupine Puffer today from a guy who no longer wanted him. He is gorgeous and absolutely full of him self..!!!!
He has no name though, he was "just a fish" to them

Thanks for the replies, I guess I will give it a go and see how we get on with them. the guy at the fish store is great and has said that he will take the Lionfish back if it doesnt work out. My tank is almost ready to introduce the puffer now so Im soooooooooooooooo excited..!!!!

Pocupine Puffer tank mates
Im cycling a tank for a Porcupine Puffer as we speak and am getting conflicting advise on two tank mates...Long Spined Sea Urchin and Volitan Lionfish. Some people say these are great with PP and others say its a big no-no..??

I had contacted the guy over his tank when he advertised it, but it was the day after he broke it. He rang me and said if I was intereted then it was mine as it held no monetry value to him

Have just collected a 134g tank to set up for my Porucpine Puffer..!!!! Has all of the fliter equipment, protien skimmer etc and is gorgeous..!!!! The only issue is that it has a cracked base which will need replacing but not bad considering I got the lot for free :D It has come with a gorgeous big ...

Obviously the tank will be cycled before the Puffer is introduced, the guy at the store said it will take approx 3 weeks to do this if all goes well. The extra filter is actually an external filter to overfiltrate the tank as Puffers are messy eaters. The guy said this is, along with regular water c...

So if I was to get a baby Fahaka Puffer and keep him in a smaller tank til he grows a bit would that be ok..?? I appreciate that they grow quickly and I would happily buy him a bigger tank as he gets bigger.
