Re: Dwarf pea puffer is skinny

black worms, small snails, cherry red shrimp, Mys shrimp. Dwarf Puffers are notoriously difficult to feed. You can try to medicate some of the food to treat for parasites, but I have a feeling that isn't the issue.

Re: Tank stand fix or replace?

You should post some images, like that it's difficult to say. With some pics, i may provide some advice: I'm not a carpenter, but I just finsihed building a stand for a shallow 350l so... Don't trust me too much though, it's my first significant wood project, so take any advice I could give with a ...

Re: Gsp with orange fugu

=) so lets talk tanks. PP is correct.. you can't house them together, BUT if they have similar perams you CAN link the tanks / have a single pump / filtration for both. Being in separate tanks and single filtration makes this a very easy job. HOWEVER <===== due to dilution and your budget on the tan...

Re: Internal Parasite? - Puffer Poop

A change of environment requires an adjustment period. During this adjustment period stress can cause constipation and or runny stool. Keep that water quality up and the water changes. Keep an eye on the stool to see if it changed with different food types. I'm more concerned about that chin wound b...

Yep... I'm going to get a vid soon, but there are lots. They are of the stabber (not clubber) type. Once I net a few I'll get the vid and microscope happening.

Re: Holy cow someone is back!

YAY!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: What will you do with the tank & how in the world did you get it there? Well... we contacted an international moving company, but they were a tad expensive at that time. So we called a shipping company and they dropped off a container in front of the house. I load...

Tank stand fix or replace?

Hey guys, my self built (custom) tank stand was damaged during our move. I don't trust it to hold any weight other than the dry tanks. I'm thinking that I can repair it (laminated 2x4) on 4x4 posts. The damage is where the cross beams 2x4 attach to the 4x4 beams. It has separated by almost 1cm and a...

I know it has been a long time but we recently moved back to Japan. I have my 300 gal with me and it is sitting dry at the moment. Life news and update (oldest first): 1)moved to Canada bought a house and land... set up the tanks as you can see in my post history. 2)lost the job thus lost the house ...

Re: Tank Calculators & Conversions

the 70% I use as a guide for FW tanks. SW is a totally different beast and needs to be measured accordingly. A perfect example would be deep sand beds vs shallow, then -30% or more for live rock. So yes the actual holding volume of water what the label states and the actual living space is reduced g...

sorry for your loss... they do make kevlar gloves though. They are used in the food industry for prep work. Might be handy to have on hand (pun intended). ;)
