I am accustomed to sand. I've been using sand since my first GSP. I prefer sand over gravel. I even had used it for my Gourami tank before the big move. I called my favorite LFS and they stated if there was particular puffer I wanted, they could get it for me. I would like a puffer that is bigger th...

not available in my area.

I've called the LFS and they only have dwarfs.

I need some good sites that I can order without being scammed and offer a good guarantee.

Can I use sand substrate with Dwarfs?

I do not like gravel.

I really want to go with freshwater puffers but do not know what is out there. LFS have only Dwarfs but I am willing to order online from reputable site. Any suggestions? I want ...

They are awesome. What care do this pair need? Umm, I may have to consider these for my future freshwater tank.

Any Puffers that stay brackish forever?

Are there any puffers that stay in brackish waters for their entire life?

I am just researching puffers so when I get a new tank, I can decide.

I really don't want to go full marine again.

It was just a thought. Have you tried looking in the newspaper in the classified section for fish tanks. I know some people have found their much needed tanks in the paper. I know there are some sites that allow people to post items for sale for free but I am not too kin of making purchases online f...

I know some LFS will take them back in case of homing problems. You would have to find out what their policies are.

I had that issue with some fish and they were more than glad to take them back, in fact, they offered a trade for like supplies that I needed.

To me it looks like a Valentini Puffer. I would be careful keeping it with your GSP. Everything could okay today but then another day, a totally different story. I definitely recommend keeping the two puffers in their own separate tank. GSPs are territorial. I had a GSP that bullied fish and even ki...

I just had recommended to me by someone that putting a few ghost shrimp in might work. Theyd eat the algae apparently, and then act as food for my puffer. Has anyone tried this? Wouldnt the little F8 just munch his way through them all in one sitting? I tried it and the ghost shrimp did munch on so...

My GSP and Valentini harrassed my Chocolate Chip Starfish.

All Puffers attacked the hermits that were smaller than them.

Burrfish like the ones I had are not reef friendly but you can add LR.

They even ate my small hog choker.

:?: I was given a small hermit and am wondering what do they eat? Neighbor's kid found one and it was not doing well in the goldfish tank so they brought it over to me.

I have taken this small hermit does nibble on the shrimp that the puffers don't eat.
