Re: Moving Marine Tank

They are only going to have to move about 20 min drive. I think I am good with the fish and having them ok. The stuff I don't really understand is the sand and rock. As long as I keep them moist and set it up quickly (couple of hours) shouldn't I be ok?

Moving Marine Tank

I want to buy a running 40 gal marine tank this weekend. The question is how do I move it and keep the critters well? There is not a lot of LR in it and 4 fish. I want to preserve as much as possible obviously and make sure the fish are fine.

Re: PVC with veggie growth

That is a good idea! I appreciate the feedback. I am still interested in the pics I mentioned and how it was done. I saw them in a new post about 3 or so days ago. I am wondering if paint was used or if it was growth.

Anyone remember?

PVC with veggie growth

I saw pics on here where someone had pvc in the tank, but it looked like there was algae on the pvc. I need to give my GSP more to explore and the potential with PVC is good. How do I keep/get it natural looking?

Re: Young GSP pacing

I get that I need more decorations and thanks. What about where they are? Does the front, middle, or sides of the tank matter? If I go live plants I am not sure that my substrate would work. Is there a good place to go for that information? Especially since the tank will be brackish later.

Re: Young GSP pacing

Thanks horse. I know for now the issue is not space. He is only about 1.5 inches long so no where near grown yet. There are three sets of fake plants that go over half way up the back side of the tank with some rocks and a bridge for scenery. Would more plants be better and should they not just be i...

Re: Young GSP pacing

I had a thought about it. Could he be lonely? As I said, the entire time that we have had him he has been with 2 other fish, but now he is alone. He really looks bright in the new tank.

Young GSP pacing

I have a GSP that I have had for about 4 months now that I just put into a cycled 20gl tank. He was in a 10gl tank with 2 small cichlids. I did not know before but now I do, that they are not compatible. Puffy had a tendency to rome up and down the glass from time to time. I thought he might have fe...
