I agree, I have read that their color or ability to change color tends to fade as puffers (or their skin) age(s)..

My GSP is about 6CM and in 1.013 SG. He's been in Mid-Brackish for some time now.. I've heard no problems keeping any size puffer in up to marine conditions. Just that larger puffers are recommended to be kept in higher salinities.

I believe it is very normal IMO, my GSP changes throughout the day. Sometimes he's brownish when he's near my driftwood. I've seen him bright fluorescent green, or a deep dark green, greenish brown, etc.. He's just about anything between yellow, green and greenish-brown on his back, and brown to gre...
