New F8
Hi there everyone...I got a new F8 last week from the LFS that keeps them in brackish. (I raised the SG to 1.010 the same as the fish store tank prior to getting him...do you think I should lower it a bit to 1.008?) I took out most of the subtrate (argonite) so that is is about 1 inch thick (I had a...

Re: F8's & GSP's together?
I just got a free 45 gallon tank, so I am trying to decide what i am going to do. Right now I have a 33 gallon community tank. I am switching a 25 gallon FW to brackish...but maybe I should switch the 33 gallon to brackish and keep the 45 as the community tank...do you think 2 f8's or 2 gsp's would ...

F8's & GSP's together?
Does anyone here keep f8's with GSP's in the same tank? What would be the minimum size of tank if you do... I know they like slightly different sg but it would be kind of cool to have one of each if it was do-able...

Re: Newb Cycling Question
You better be careful...draft horses are addictive! I own three clydesdales and 4 Gypsy horses. I would not go back to light horses, I just cannot believe how gentle the drafts are! I think you will fall inl ove with the percherons!

Re: GSP problem
So I was reading the recommended article for starting a brackish tank in the Brackish puffer section here. In it he was talking about the substrate. In the article it says "If you plan on keeping live rooted plants, you will need about a 1" layer of substrate ( avoid larger layers as they ...

Re: GSP problem
I looked closely at the body this morning and he seemed normal on the outside. I looked for the mark on his side and I do think it was the edge of his gill. But as everything had kind of flattened out it did not look the same, it had no redness to it anymore, though it did look somewhat different th...

Re: GSP problem
[quote="marksrush"]What does his belly look like? Is it bright white, or is it gray or black? Is it flat, rounded, or pinched-in? What's his activity level? Is he all beat-up looking, with ragged fins etc., or does he otherwise look good? What shape is that red spot? Is it almost perfectly...
