GSPs, live rock, odl reef tank etc.

I am considering converting my reef 29 into a GSP tank (1 puff) can I keep the same live rock? Will it kill all the inverts? (I figure this is a yes?) any allowable tank mates? (specifically, I wouldn't mind some form of cleaning crew no matter how small) soft corals, would it destroy them? do I nee...

Time to change a tank over

OK, I simply put iwth my current class schedule do not have the time for my full reef tank, in fact, the tank is crashing because I cannot spend the proper time on it, i.e. at least half an hour every day. I am thinking about a GSP. This is a 29 gallon tank with full reed equipment, high lighting, s...

Yes another one.....Fahaka tankmates!!

While I know that it is unlikely that a medium sized fahaka will tolerate tankmates, would a young (4in or less) deal with tankmates that are his size or larger, at least until he matures?

ok, are they ok with a planted tank? Are they ok with crushed argonite sand? (would mean a high pH, only slightly countered with the tannins released from the driftwood) Are MTSs a big no-no? And how readily available are they? I have never seen one for sale anywhere, and dont know where to get one....

Looking for options

Hey all.

I have an empty 10 gallon tank.
I have had DPs before, liked em, I was wondering if they are the only option for a 10 gallon tank though?

Feeding snails is not a problem, but I dont care to be trimming teeth like with a SAP.

Thanks, JArred

well, the puff I have now has never been to interactive with me, the angels in hte other tnak are more so. and the new angels after only 2 weeks are more interactive than he has ever been. I dont mind having only one fish in a tank, I would just prefer that it was a fish bigger than one inch in a 5 ...

ha ha neons. :/ I don't do well with the- normal community fish. It took me a while to get the angels, only reason I did is that I needed something that would grow to a medium size, and be slightly aggressive so as to not be out-competed for food by their tank mates (Bichir Senegalus and African But...

I have had otos with my DPs for 2 months, angels for a few weeks, and shrimp for a few months. why would I like to have tankmates? perhaps because even though I like this fish, 1 inch fish in a 5 gallon tank makes it way to empty. a 2.5 inch fish, alone, in a 10 gallon, makes it way to empty. on top...

ok, I forgot to mention, DPs are out of the quistion, I cannot stick only 2 into a5 gallon, and 1 is just does not fill out the tank enough, (I have one right now, and I can never see him he is just too small for that much water) pufferlist.net says that both red-eyes and red-tails can go in a 5, I ...

Choosing a puffer

OK, I have a 5 gallon tank I am setting up right now. it will be lightly planted with some moderate decorations, sand bottom. I have a booming snail population in my other tanks, so snails are no problem. OK what puffers can go in here? I am thinking dwarf, red-eye, or red-tail? anything else? the l...
