Re: Schoutedeni teeth
Yeah I don't know what else to do with this guy, he just will not put weight on. He gets skinny super quick. I have tried several doses of treatment since last post and now. Both soaking the food (prawn and bloodworm) and in a moment of desperation dosing the tank. All other occupants are healthy an...

Re: Schoutedeni teeth
Sorry its been a while - hadn't realised didn't update. Managed to trim puffs teeth and treated tank with similar items of Pima/Melafix shortly after and all seemed well. He has gone thin again, I can't see anything wrong with the teeth so time to spot feed him and deworm. Being UK - only thing can ...

Re: Schoutedeni teeth
I treated them when I first got them 2 years ago. Worth treating again for sure, off to the library to find the stuff in UK
Thanks for links on dentistry, will I have to now or treat IPs, feeding only shelled and hope they can still be worn down?

Schoutedeni - RIP
Thank you for all the advice, I've not found him for several days...he has gone over the rainbow bridge. Tried everything for the little one and appreciate the 3 years I had him. My other puffkin is going strong thankfully as is the rest of the tank, but right now feeling sad _______________________...

Re: Schoutedeni - lump and open anus
I did indeed at the dosage recommended. It took two days but so so happy it was something he ate (the silly puffball).

Re: Schoutedeni - lump and open anus
Unsure if it is constipation - he is the pig out the two. I'm thinking either: gulped air somehow / internal infection causing bloating / prolapsed anus / consitpation (narrowed that down nicely...) Have some immune boosting treatments, which added with fresh water change. Gained some Epsom salt tod...

They are similar to pea puffs but less vivid mottle markings and bright orange stripes on their bellies which hadn't seen before?

What are these?
Saw these today - they reminded me of pea puffs but had the distinctive yellow orange lines on their bellies. All the shop could tell me was their name began with the letter S.... They had a fair few puffs in but bar the standard pea puffs and these guys the rest were sadly poorly. https://imgur.com...

Re: My Schoutedenis Update
Latest update - they are doing well, he was was just having a fat week with his belly that time but will keep epsom salt in mind for future. They've gotten over their squabbling phase and back to best buds, I am sure we will go full circle to squabbling child phase soon. I have also replaced 80% of ...

Re: schoutedeni - diet change advice
Mine feed on all mentioned above and raw prawn/shrimp soaked in vits or garlic. Don't introduce cherry shrimp - I did to give my guy a hunting adventure and now they live with a small colony of blinking shrimp.

Re: Palembang - seriously tempted
Oh he is absolutely lovely! Sadly there is only one there now. Believe the other four may have gone back to the source as quite a hard sell. I decided against it in the end as didn't want a pet rock
