Re: What are these?

On that linkie if scroll there are lots of images (sorry I am so rubbish at uploading).

They are similar to pea puffs but less vivid mottle markings and bright orange stripes on their bellies which hadn't seen before?

What are these?

Saw these today - they reminded me of pea puffs but had the distinctive yellow orange lines on their bellies. All the shop could tell me was their name began with the letter S.... They had a fair few puffs in but bar the standard pea puffs and these guys the rest were sadly poorly. https://imgur.com...

Re: My Schoutedenis Update

Latest update - they are doing well, he was was just having a fat week with his belly that time but will keep epsom salt in mind for future. They've gotten over their squabbling phase and back to best buds, I am sure we will go full circle to squabbling child phase soon. I have also replaced 80% of ...

Re: schoutedeni - diet change advice

Mine feed on all mentioned above and raw prawn/shrimp soaked in vits or garlic. Don't introduce cherry shrimp - I did to give my guy a hunting adventure and now they live with a small colony of blinking shrimp.

Re: Palembang - seriously tempted

Oh he is absolutely lovely! Sadly there is only one there now. Believe the other four may have gone back to the source as quite a hard sell. I decided against it in the end as didn't want a pet rock ;)

Re: My Schoutedenis Update

Thank you very very much for that insight, that has been incredibly helpful. Having a sit down to think through, I do not think I will rock the boat. I think I will focus to continue to build their 55g tank into a jungle as I have noticed the open swimming space at the front causes a lot of chasing....

Re: My Schoutedenis Update

Thank you so much astrid37 for that detailed information - really really helpful. I think I will not rock the boat as I won't be able to install further tanks if it goes wrong. I have a fellow puff advocate who would take any schoutedeni in a heartbeat as he was on board when got two but rather not ...

Re: My Schoutedenis Update

So curious to get some advice whether to rock the boat in my tank or not. My schouts are doing well. One is a porker and growing steadily, the other is more streamline but gets plenty of food. The porker is the more dominant of the two for sure and tends to be a chaser. It hasn't gotten to bullying ...

Non planted puff tank possible?

So I have my two lovely schoutedenis and adoring them, they have some shoaling fish and bristlenoses. They have had live plants up to this point but genuinely considering going plantless. Reason querying if possible is due to my terrible terrible luck with live plants. Back in the day when I didn't ...

Re: My Schoutedenis Update

Thank you both :) They are as spoilt as I let them and they love exploring new things. Aw PYRU - they are expensive but absolutely worth it. Not just for the looks but personalities. If you can you won't regret it. I am in the UK so it took me 20 suppliers to find someone who could get me two into t...

Re: My new puffer likes to go upside with rocks?

They can swim upside down and odd angles due to their finnage. But mere seconds usually from what I've seen while exploring
