My extremely stubborn DPs took only to blackworms and snails (one took to clam meat, only after I spent a very long time smashing snails, leaving the meat in certain places/stuffing empty snail shells with clam and slowly replacing the snail meat in the regula...

Re: F8 questions.
I'm asking because I prefer the look of fine light colored sand over aroganite. If you still desire a sand substrate, there is sugar sized aragonite substrates that look like fine light coloured sand and give you the benefits of having an aragonite substrate. http://www.carib-sea.com/pages/products...

Go online to some of the cricket farms. A lot of them sell worms also. My puffs love crickets too! Mmm...If you're talking about blackworms thanks but that won't work...i'm in Canada. There are no such farms that I know of in Canada, and the ones in the US are not able to ship across the border. I ...

Yes, like everyone said, shipping and being placed in a store is extrememly hard on fish, not to mention then being netted and introduced to yet another home. Sometimes, if you get lucky, you can special order them and grab the ones you want straight out of the shipping bag, avoiding at least a lit...

Otocinclus like to be in larger groups. More is better, They tend to feel more secure if they have more of their kind to hang around with. Ideally, provide plenty of hiding places. They seem to prefer plants and foliage to hide in as opposed to caves and the like. If your DPs turn out to be very nip...

A good outgrow tank might pay for itself from clipping sales :p I have a spare 10 gallon that I tried to culture snails in and failed (unidentified problem, likely some sort of heavy metal from their reaction). I just need a hood and canopy, and I'm set. Maybe the plants might absorb whatever kille...
