Re: Dull Colored GSP - Normal?
Yeah I know that 30g/adult GSP is the norm, but I figured a lot can happen from now and then and Kapua would probably be dead by now if I left him with the astute care of the mentally challenged Walmart staff. But wait a minute... isn't 3 GSP's in a 55g a little tight? ;) Ratio of gallon/fish is wor...

Re: Dull Colored GSP - Normal?
It is a 46g with the two puffs (the larger puff being about 3" and the new young one is a little over an inch... walmart is evil) one molly and a couple guppies to hunt when they get bored. I should probably test the water again since I haven't for a while, but the last time i checked the param...

Dull Colored GSP - Normal?
Hey all, I just had a concern about the color of my GSP Tsunami. Tsunami has been a very dull green/gray/brown color and I was wondering if there is anything I could do to brighten him up. The color is so dull, that there is barely any contrast in his color and his spots most of the time. He has a v...

Another GSP Tankmate question
Well I ended up getting a great deal on a 46g bowfront. Beautiful tank. So my plans have changed. Originally I was going for a 55g tank with 2 GSPs. I've reconsidered getting 2 because that just wouldn't be fair. So now I am planning on one GSP plus a couple other friends that do not require too muc...

Re: SAPs personable?
Thanks! I wish I knew about this forum when setting up my first tank. This is probably the most informative and interactive site I've seen for puffers. I'll definitely stick around!

Re: SAPs personable?
Thanks for the input everyone. I think the interactive personality of my late GSP is what I loved the most. I think I'm going to go ahead and get a couple of GSPs for my 55g.

SAPs personable?
Hey everyone, I'm just about ready to start a new tank. I previously had a GSP (Ooka) which unfortunately didn't make it long because I took the advice of a terrible LFS. Since then I've done a lot of research on my own and was interested in SAPs. I'm debating between those or another GSP. I loved h...

GSP - Dark Grey Belly?
I recently lost my GSP. Strange how you miss such a little creature. I just had one question that was haunting me. Since I had him, his underside would turn grey very often, especially after eating. I've looked through the forums and with all of the pictures I've seen, they all have had white unders...

Glad there are some people that make sure that new owners are taught how to take care of the animals/fish they sell.

Re: Sick/Puffing GSP
Well I thought the information I got at the pet store was correct. Now I know to take it with a grain of salt. Sorry for trusting someone that works with these fish everyday.
