Re: Dwarf Puffer watching PC screen :)
Awww they are so cute when they do that! :D Winston has always liked watching me on the computer, I figured it was because I play WoW and he liked the moving bright pictures :D The DPs tank is also next to Joeri's PC and there is one little female who is always watching the screen :D We always joke...

Re: Pufferfish anatomy
Not quite. Winston has two little stalky antenna thingies just a little way below his eyes near his mouth.
I think all puffers have them.

Pufferfish anatomy
I bet I will end up feeling really stupid after asking this, but I have been wondering it since I first saw a pufferfish
What are the little stalky thingies near the puffer's eyes?

Dwaine is very handsome! He looks so different to Winston in colours though! Winston has always had a very bright yellow belly whereas Dwaine's looks white!

Re: Sterazin and Protozin
I did a huge water change this morning (80%ish) to see if that would help the fishes. I also took out all the plants and snails to get them ready for the move and cleaned the filter. I've not cleaned out the filter in about 3 months, but somehow in that time the carbon in my Fluval 305 has disinter...

Re: I Picked the Picky Puffers! (DPs)
Welcome!
I have 2 Armano shrimp in with my DPs and 2 Ottos.
The Armanos are quite a lot bigger than the Cherries and they are surviving well (at the moment anyway!
)
Maybe worth getting the bigger shrimp as they are less likely to become a tasty snack?

Re: Sterazin and Protozin
Ahh I see, thanks!
I'll see if I can find something large enough to use as a QT.
I'll do an extra water change in the morning too I think, see if that helps...
I swear they're doing this on purpose - been watching me pack and so pretending to be ill to add to the stress of it all!

Re: Sterazin and Protozin
I guess I could put the unhealthy ones into a bucket, but as Winston is about 10" long he's too big for the bucket (plus having to move him in a week I am trying to avoid as much stress for him now as I can). Would it not be worth treating everyone just in case? (First time I've ever needed to...
