Re: Dwarf Puffer acting funny- can't figure it out
I think your puffer is fine. I think the reason your puffer did not eat because you left the light out. When the light is out the puffer go to sleep or rest and it take awhile for them to get normal again. My puffer do the same, when I turn out the light he change color and go to sleep.

Re: Snails Dying!
When ghost shrimp die they turn pink, that what I read before. However, last time I went to buy ghost shrimp I saw a lot of dead ghost shrimps and they are white in appearance. You can put ghost shrimp with any fishes as long as the fish is too big for it to catch and as long as the fish will not hu...

Hold two piece of shrimp and feed them separately. It just normal animals behavior, they will fight for food, what you see is survival of the fittest. Just make sure feeding time don't let the big one feel like little one going to steal his meal.

Re: New F8 Puffer Problems
Do you know your SG? I had a puffer and I encountered puffer sickness with a parasite when I bought him and I treated him with salt. Now he is happy and very healthy. I think the best way to treat puffer is salt and heat because medicine can be sometime hard to use the right one. Also keep the tank ...

Re: Can this be ick?
OK, I changed 25% of the water yesterday and add some aquarium salt in it and the white dot on my puffer fish is gone. However the white circle white spot on his lower anal fin that I mentioned now have a white string sticking out of it. I guess this is a parasite? Can I use coppersafe to treat it?

Can this be ick?
I had my ninja puffer for two weeks now and a white spot start to appear on his lower anal fin, in addition to the white spot on his fin there is a white dot sticking out of his back like a parasite. Could this be ick or some kind of parasite?

Re: What the necessaryspecific gravity for a brackish tank?
Yes I still have platy fry in the tank to cycle. I'm going to take the bio grid from the other tank and give to the cycle tank to speed up the cycle, hope this will work.

Re: What the necessaryspecific gravity for a brackish tank?
I read the article three times and I try to do what it said. Right now I try to speed up the cycle process by getting some of the gravel from the platys to the cycle tank.

Yes that that puffer that markrush give the link to, here the one: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c382/ABAJR5903/003-2.jpg I talked to one of the employee at the pet store last week and she told me she had two of them and she kept them in a low SG brackish water tank. She told me to cycle the tan...
