Just wanted to let everyone know, Zeph's back to 100%. All the bristles are gone and no infection or irritation!
Thanks everyone for the input!

Re: Zephyr vs. the giant bristleworm :(
Lol he did have a cling-on yesterday that was less digested than usual. I thought it was shrimp but he usually digests that completely and this wasn't :p

Re: Zephyr vs. the giant bristleworm :(
I think Zeph might have won. I just saw one of the few surviving hermit crabs in the tank gnawing on a hunk of what could have been giant bristleworm...and I'm pretty sure there was only one...

Re: Zephyr vs. the giant bristleworm :(
They seem to be bugging him much less today, he's acting 100% normal. It also seems like there are fewer bristle sticking out, so I think I'm going to leave it for now. I'm terrified of putting him under and him not waking up! I did add melafix, hopefully that's soothing... I wish I could think that...

Zephyr vs. the giant bristleworm :(
Well, it looks like Zephyr decided to try and snack on the giant bristleworm in his tank last night. I heard him splashing around after lights out, and when the lights came on today, I saw that his lips are a little swollen and he has a beard and mustache of bristles :( I have ms222, should I knock ...

Not to leave Frankie out of the fun! (But it's harder to get a good shot because his hidey-hole is dark!)

Re: $%#@! F-8 caught in python tube :(
I never really thought of that. I guess that's a strong possibility... Fish can have somatic parasites that infest their bodies but do not live in the gut - hence are not IPs. Those can be difficult to treat without killing the fish. I confess that I have used PP's technique myself, but i usually am...

Re: $%#@! F-8 caught in python tube :(
I'm not going to get another F-8. I realized within months of getting Odie that brackish isn't something I enjoy. I almost rehomed him a few months ago but realized that, although I didn't like brackish, I adored him and couldn't part with him, so I had to do right by him. I re-did his tank, moving ...
