Would a Eheim 2215 plus a Koralia Nano be enough for a 29 gallon? http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/p ... atid=23591
I already have the nano sitting around.
I am between the 2213 and 2215.

Re: New 29 gallon
Bringing this thread back after a long time. Puffer is still doing fine, the tank isn't as clean as it was in the original pictures but remains basically the same. Down to just figure 8's and a goby now. I was considering switching over to a canister filter, does anyone have any recommendations or e...

Re: changing substrate in a dp tank
thanks, nick. First I added some of the plants and the new canister filter to the tank, then I put most of the filter media into my new canister filter ant all seems to be fine. Here was the tank after the change: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y244/kfrench2/P1040494.jpg the plants are still settl...

changing substrate in a dp tank
So I posted this over at the dwarfpuffer forum but I thought I'd post it here too, just to get more opinoins. I have been considering switching over my 5 gallon dwarf puffer tank from fake decorations to a planted tank. I have some questions and concerns first. Here is the current tank: http://i6.ph...

Re: All of my tanks...
Figured I'd give an update, it's been a while. All of the fish are doing well minus losing one of the mollies in the f8 tank. When I rescaped, I took some of the extra plants and added them to the other tanks to see if they would do well. The chromides destroyed the plants in the brackish but the pl...

Re: 29 gallon aquarium? f8s? Stocking help?
I have two orange chromides, 1 f8, 3 bb gobies, and 4 dalmatian mollies. No problems at all so far. However my f8 is still young and just over an inch and a half. I also do 40% weekly changes and have 350gph of filtration.

Re: All of my tanks...
thanks for the concern guys, I make sure the rock gets completely full with water and rotate it once a month. A also pull water out of it when I do my water changes. No problems so far, and all the fish seem to love swimming through it.

Thanks everyone,
The rock is actually fake, and hollow inside so it has more places to explore. I got mine at petsmart.

So he is still swimmin. He fattens up nice and good but still doesn't seem to stay rally fat for a long time. Should I just continue to treat with the gel tek or can you overdo it?

Re: Is it too large for 2 F8?
I have two chromides with my f8 in my 29 and they seem to be doing fine. The chromides are pretty passive and don't seem to mind the puff swimming through their area.

Re: IP
Looks like I picked the right stuff out today then. Thanks for all the quick responses, hopefully I didn't notice the problem too late. Also can a soak snails in it then feed it to him? He never hesitates eating snails. -edit-never mind, he hadn't touched the bloodworms in two days, the ones soaked ...

IP
So I'm pretty sure my figure 8 still has IP. I have been treating the whole tank with jungle lab fizz tabs but it doesn't seem to be working. He was fine for about two weeks and now is looking skinny again and losing interest in foods. I have read the article on treating for IP but have a couple of ...
