I think that Nerites are well beyond an F-8's ability to crunch (both in size and shell strength), and they do not expose as much flesh as most snails. If you do get any and try this, be sure to keep posted on the outcome - I am quite interested. No worries, I'll keep you all posted if it happens :)

I still get the nerites displayed. Though I have noticed that they've updated the page and changed the layout, from when I posted originally. So that might be one of reasons the view was slightly different for you. I was thinking of getting a couple for my tank which will be housing a figure 8 short...

Anyone here had any experience of Nerite snails in there tanks? Would be interested to hear about breeding and whether they make good puffer food. new to puffers myself and I'm in a similar situation. LFS keeps puffers in freshwater.
