Re: Figure 8 Colour
Cool, good to know and thanks for the replies. I'll keep an eye out when I feed him next to see if anything happens with his colour.

Figure 8 Colour
Hey everyone, I've noticed that when I turn on the lights in the morning my F8's colour is kind of dull. Once the lights are on for a minute or two then his colour is just as vibrant as ever. He's a healthy fish just weird with his colour, anyone else experience this?

Changing tanks
Hey everyone, I need to change tanks due to the start of a leak. Can I just put all of the water, substrate, decor, and HOB filters from my current tank and use them for my new tank without cycling the new tank? Since everything is just changing over to a new location should it be okay? I really hop...

Funny stuff
I am currently watching my puffer swim up beside my Koralia and let the current blow him away. He's been doing it for like five minutes now. What a strange little guy. So much character.

Re: Stupid Algae
I'll cut down the time the one light stays on or keep it off all together and give the plants a try. Thanks.

Moonlights
Has anyone tried to use regular 25watt lightbubls with a blue colour in place of moonlights. Will moonlights work well with puffers? are there any benefits? Any ideas would be helpful.
-Thanks, Steve.

Re: Stupid Algae
The bulbs are on for about ~12 hours a day and he receives a peice of shrimp about the size of his eye or a little bigger and he gets that once a day.

Re: Stupid Algae
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how long the black out should be. The light in question (on the right side where the most algae is) is not old and since it came with the canopy I'm not sure what the wattage is I'll check that out and maybe change the bulbs.

Stupid Algae
I was wondering if there are any measures I can take to lessen the bloom of the green algae that keeps coming back in my tank. I think it may have something to do with the light that is in my canopy. I have two canopies and on the left side there in minimal to no algae growth but on the right side i...

I think I found it through someone else's post in another forum. Although no other forum is as informative as this one, there is so much valuable information.

Re: What's your puffer's name?
My girlfriend named our first puffer a figure 8 "Bruiser" I love the name. She thinks he's hard-core.
We had another puffer under the pretense that she was a Figure 8 as well, but once we realised she was a ceylon we had to return "Telula" sad story.
