Re: Brackish to Freshwater
PS I will do a complete tear down if I have to but with everything else going on I certainly would prefer not to have to do that. My refractormeter does not go lower than .020 so I ordered a pond sg meter that goes all the way down to 0.00. I will not make the transition until I am confident my leve...

Re: Brackish to Freshwater
Sorry...for the delay. I lost my approx 10 year old gsp 3 weeks ago. I have wanted a fahaka for years but kept my rule of 2 tanks (snail breeder and Polli's 58 gallon). I now have Wendell a 2 inch fahaka. I have had him for nearly a week, he is currently in a 20 long desimating the snail population ...

Re: Well meaning boyfriend...MY BABIES!!!
Why do a 90% water change when there is no evidence that there is any problem with my bacteria or evidence of an inactive nitrifying cycle? I don't want to take my tank from .006 to .014 to .010 and bam back to .006 I think I'm more comfortable doing daily 10% water changes to get back to .006. rath...

Re: Oxfendazole; safe?
Sweet we'll be worm free by this evening!!!
So I'm assuming that I only have to do this once right? Not like mammals where you dose and then 3 weeks later dose again??

Re: Oxfendazole; safe?
But don't you think the Praziquantel (Droncit) would take care of all the others? I always thought droncit was a kill anything kind of dewormer...

Re: Tiny little Pollianna
Yippie! Yeah I'm thinking with her petite little self the 20g tall would be just fine for her. And hopefully my new big boy gets healthy, fattens up (a little growth spurt wouldn't hurt my feelings either) then he can have the 46g all to himself.

Tiny little Pollianna
Pollianna has been with me for 2.5 years and is exactly the same size as she was when I purchased her; 1.5 inches. Specs are 46g, .014 salinity, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, 5ppm nitrates, Cascade canister filter 700 series rated for up to 65g. Polli menu consists of human grade; clams, shrimp, muscles, o...
