lock jaw or not lock jaw

what will iodine do if it's not truely lock jaw? i was under the impression that lock jaw was from feeding him an unvaried diet, or from only feeding him freeze dried crill, or is it just vitamin deficency?

That's my worry, given the fact he hasn't eaten in so long. I wouldn't know how to treat a porc puff with lockjaw. With there spikes and such, seems like it would be very difficult to handle, and given his rather fragile health at present.
