Re: Porcupine with ich

I went with Herbtana to treat the tank since I have SPS and Zoas in the tank as well, all food was soaked in Seachem Garlic Guard: Day 1: All fish looked like they improved, ich was starting to dissapear on the wrasse, chromis, anthia...

Re: Porcupine with ich

How often do you feed the puffers krill? That's a food that isn't ideal: http://www.thepufferforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=29156&st=0&sk=t&sd=a Here is a link to the C dosing: http://www.thepufferforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=13501&st=0&sk=t&sd=a Remember...

Re: Porcupine with ich

I'm fairly certain Herbtana doesn't work, if that's the product you speak of. It says that it boosts the immune system of the fish so that the parasite with not have a suitable host and die off in the tank. That just doesn't really sound possible. Crypt is opportunistic and really just needs a fish...

Porcupine with ich

So, I came home to a not so nice surprise yesterday, my porcupine has white spots all over him. He is still eating like a pig, but has started to act really weird, but I think its because I scare the crapola out of him when I came downstairs this morning to check on him. pH: test kit was old, bought...

Re: Puffers and Anthias?

I was also thinking about buying a foxface to help with the eventual algae growth. But with all the cheato in the sump, RO water and GFO/bio pellets. I am hoping I wont have algae problems

Puffers and Anthias?

Not sure if some may remember, but I was upgrading my tank for my porcupine and dogface. I ran into so many problems when I was developing my basement (mainly foundation crack). Everything was ready to go, and carpets were to be installed, but we saw that the floor was damp. Luckily we noticed this ...

Re: Puffers and black brittle stars

Its like the MMAs for the puffers.. the Damsels look pretty beat up, one has small marks (from the other Damsel bullying it), and now the bully has a big mark on the body from the blenny.

Thats why I'm leaving it for now.. let the bully get bullied!

Re: Puffers and black brittle stars

So i picked up a chocolate chip star and a lawnmower blenny today. As for as hermits, they picked off 5 of 6. I came home one day and I saw an electric blue hermit inside my porc's mouth. The chocolate chip star has been all over the tank grazing on everything, same with the lawnmower blenny. The pu...

Re: Upgrading tanks, what is the best way?

I have read alot of your posts in the past about how bad they are together. You would be surprised how much these 2 love each other, they swim together, sleep together.. its pretty cute actually watching the both of them. Where 1 goes, the other follows. But on to my main question, how have you guys...

Upgrading tanks, what is the best way?

Some of you may remember me talking about my basement development project. Currently, its about 2 to 3 weeks from completion (Really, its up to me to get off my buttocks to paint, then get the carpet installed). What is the best way to transfer everything from my 65 to the new 165ish (I cant remembe...

Does not come with plumbing, they charge money to do it. I have a couple buddies who will be coming over to do it for me. For a case of beer and pizza. Can't go wrong with that!

Re: yellow dogface puffer

I hope so! So I was at the LFS, and couldnt pass up such an awesome deal. At first they quoted me $1200 for a 200g with 90g sump and stand. He had an extra tank their that was accidentally ordered (wrong size). Its a 155g, and hes going to make a 80g sump and stand and sell it to me for $700. Couldn...
