Re: Best video I've seen of South American Puffers eating snails
Thanks everyone! I've been trying to capture this for so long. :) Re: Neons - you'd be surprised how the Neons hold their own - those Neons are three years old and they will get right into the mix with the Puffers fighting for flakes. The puffer wins... I did see one of the Neons has a nick on his f...

Check out this footage... WoszxoMkTDo Click and open in new window, then bump up to 480p resolution for best viewing These fish have so much personality... I finally caught some of it on film. The problem in the past has been that because they are so shy... its been hard to get footage. I finally fi...

Re: SAP - Amazing video of South American Puffer on Snail Patrol
Happy to report my puffers are still going strong... they are so fat and happy. I feed them snails, shrimp, and ... baby guppies... I feel a little bad about that last one... sometimes... but they need to be culled. And puffy is hungry. The South American Puffer is one of the most personable fish I'...

Re: Do SAPs need tankmates or not?
An update: Recently I took my Zebra Danios out of my SAP tank to move them into "cycling duty" for a new tank. My SAPs got stressed out and started pacing again, more than usual. Well... I added the Danios back in and the SAPs are calmer now and are more often in "hunting mode".....

Turned out it WAS just a longer term effect of the anesthesia... my SAPs are pacing like usual now. They have to be the cutest creatures on the planet. Can I get an "amen"?

Re: SAP pacing the tank glass? Try: trimming teeth (!)
I guess my main observation is that the guy with the long teeth has REALLY calmed down now that they are clipped. - Current... Yes - SAPs love to swim eh? I have an overpowered filter and they love playing in it - I'll move in another current source to make sure they work off the food they've been &...

SAP pacing the tank glass? Try: trimming teeth (!)
I trimmed my SAPs teeth this weekend... all went well! The best part: the one that had the longest teeth is now begging for food again - formerly he would mostly pace the back of the tank up and down over and over.... so now I have two little, fat and happy beggars.... not just one. :) (They both st...

Well, I have a few live ones in my cherry shrimp tank... they seem to sell for $1 live (on the net) and breed pretty easily... if you'd like some live ones, let me know.

Re: finquel - help! Everyone is out... Puffy's teeth can't wait
Yep... saw some movies, but I'm seeing some interesting information out there that adds to that article.... Check this information: https://www.pondrx.com/products/16136.html If your dose calls for one teaspoon Finquel, also apply one teaspoon baking Soda to the tranquilizer water. I'd never heard t...

Hmmm... The sticky didn't help... But I'll wait and see if other sources pop up. I'm googled out.
