Re: what not to do
Here's another "DO NOT".....Do not assume that everything is running perfectly, even if it is chances are you'll do something that will cause this to fail! Check everything TWICE! This is a voice from experience, I did a water test all levels were as they should be, I fed my fish a shrimp ...

Re: prime
Go with Prime! I use it. For all of my tanks from freshwater to marine. It works like a charm:)

Re: Woohoo! Love this present! :)
Mhm, or what I do is I take a small cup with the puffer and some water (that way I control the water out take/intake). Wow, those are awsome gifts! I didn't know they made that stuff. I want a puffer plushie now!

Re: Puffers that graze?
My GSP does nip on the rocks, but refuses to eat the algae. Lol. Now I've my Sea Hare I'm quite shocked at how fast the algae is disappearing.

Re: How to apologize to an offended puffer:
Yea:) I sometimes have to "buy" my puffer off with either a mollusk, or clam. He also gets really upset if he has no one in the tank with him. (I know its weird for puffers, but he does seem to get depressed if he doesn't have a companion). I remember I had the same problem you did. I ende...

Re: Crazy Question
Ooo! That's cool! I know my GSP will make little sucking noises to get my attention. Didn't know they could chirp:) He he, that'd be funny to see.

Re: How aggressive are your GSP
I found that my Shuo is fine with fish that are not GSPs. I've had him with inverts, and with lionfish, and with clownfish, and all sorts of critters, the only one that bothered him was the other little GSP I had with him (who, unfortunetly, died due to stress caused by Shuo). Shuo loves to get my a...

Puffers that graze?
I've heard that there are several marine puffers that graze on the algae growth in the tanks. Can anyone reccomend one?

Re: Dwarf Lionfish and Puffer...Suggestions? Experiences?
Lionfish i find are tricky to get to eat frozen (or it might just be mine, picky). You might also have to feed them on two separate sides of the tank to avoid competition. My puffer and Lion get along fine so far, but I do my best to discourage any closeness between the two. (Tapping on the glass a ...

Re: Bored puffer!
I don't have a background (unless you count a half finished batman mural), maybe I'll get him one. I don't have any lights set up yet, over the next two weeks I should have something in place. (They are expensive and I've got a number of things to budget. Though I'm desperately working to get everyt...

Re: Bored puffer!
I know. Ha ha. But the advantage is that it would all be "movable" so it wouldn't be fixed to one spot so I could work on it every so often to clean it:) I'm not certain what he was in then, but he is in 1.021 right now. His colouration is as it should be, nice strong yellow, black spots, ...

Re: Bored puffer!
I took about 24 hours to acclimate him. (minus a few when I actually slept), He's been in there for just over a month. He likes the salinity, he's much healthier since moving in. And he likes the space. He just gets bored easily. He didn't when I had the clowns in there. He would swim around and che...

Re: Bored puffer!
Hmm:) I can do that! It's harder cause he's a Green Spotted Puffer who has been adapted to Marine. I've got lots of "hole" filled live rock which I move around a lot for him. I'll see what I can do about getting shrimp and stuff for him to hunt. He doesn't usually eat snails. He used to pl...

Bored puffer!
What do I do? My puffer, Shuo, gets so bored! I do my best to change the decor every cleaning (which is once a week), and he's fine for about a day or two then gets bored and starts pacing!!! AHH! He's in a 33gal by himself for now, I thought maybe putting some plastic tubing in for him might help, ...
