I'm pretty sure the puffer is a male because he has a red tail fairly large... maybe a bit over 2 inches? Males have red tails and females don't right? He looks like he's starving though and a bit stressed too... poor guy... he's in a little 10 gal tank w/a bunch of mollies and platies... Anyone els...

Hey thanks for the replies. I didn't realize that i hadn't originally posted this under the FW puffer section. =P Sorry about that. Well I don't have room for another tank right now So I guess he'll have to wait for some one else. BTW is it true that they do better in pairs?

I'm considering getting an irrubesco puffer but i'm having a hard time finding any solid info on them. Can a single puffer live comfortably in a 10 gal? There's a one eyed irrbesco at the pet store that I work at and nobody wants him because he's missing an eye.
