Re: Full marine for a GSP?
Thanks, Agnate and riggers for your timely response. The biggest one was moving towards SW for some time but over a course of months. I'm amazed that the two newest and smallest did so well so soon. I do not notice any real stress and they have fat, white bellies but their yellow isn't as intense as...

Re: Full marine for a GSP?
Sorry, yeah, I didn't mean it to sound like you can just drop a puffer into saltier water and he'll be fine. I just meant they adapt to salt changes much more quickly than the bacteria. :) Oops!! That's what I did. I had a bigger GSP in SW and bought two smaller GSPs that had been in FW a...

Re: Young GSP's in full marine?
I find this thread very interesting and hopeful. I had a bigger GSP that I transitioned from fresh to brachish to SW in a matter of several months. Then I bought two small GSPs(1 1/2 inch)on a whim....just because they're just so doggone cute.....and instead of setting up a new fresh water tank for ...

Re: Concerns About Puffers
I've got another question concerning sick puffers and decided to just reuse my old post. Hope that's okay? I notice that the flashing has gotten alot less but now my biggest puffer isn't eating or eating much. At least I haven't witness him eating anything and he just kind of swims by any food I put...

Re: Concerns About Puffers
I added the aragonite the second week of the tanks setup. There was no water in the bag with the aragonite but it did feel slightly moist. I didn't know there was suppose to be water in it. None of the bags I saw did. I also didn't think to rinse it out before putting it in the tank. I'm also one of...

Concerns About Puffers----New Question!!!
Earlier this week one of my three GSPs died. After I discovered him, I did a 75% water change because he'd been dead in there for maybe a day. 12 hours for certain. Now this morning my other two GSPs didn't attack their food like they usually do and whatever they did try to eat they spit out. So I d...

Re: Overfeeding Puffers
Unfortunately, when I got home tonight. I discovered Osiris tucked under a rock...dead. I only had the little guy a month and I think he had the best personality of the three. He'll be missed.

Inquiring Minds Want To Know
Okay, I'm new and I'm curious about a lot of things related to puffers. However, I have had a GSP once twenty years ago and this question has weighted on my mind for a long time and I'm wondering if anyone can answer it. Knowing even less about puffers back then, then I do now. I put a 1 1/2 GSP in ...

Re: Overfeeding Puffers
My GSP are little piggies too. They'll eat and eat and look like balloons. But recently I've noticed the smallest one doesn't come out as quickly as the other two do to eat and sometimes there is very little left for him. Now this morning he didn't come out at all. I couldn't even find him. Hes beco...
