Re: bumblebee gobies

I must have the worst luck in fishland. I put a few BBGs in with my Puffer, the tank was divided, one side Puffer the other side BBGs. The BBGs are very small and one got through a hole and ended up on the other side. I came home and found my Puffer munching 1/3 of a BBG. I took them all out and now...

Re: how to tell if

There is an article in the library that goes over the signs a Puffer has parasites. Since your Puffer is wild caught he most likely has parasites. I would deworm him in case, he may not show signs now but could in the future if his immune system is compromised. Have you seen his waste? Look out for ...

Re: Fig 8 / Brackish questions

Hi! 1. What is the running cost of a brackish tank? How much will marine salts cost me per month? Do I need anything extra (I read about live rock or something). It depends how often you do water changes. I buy the Petco brand-the biggest box they have for $25 which would last me one month if I only...

Re: New member, new question.

Welcome to the forum! Puffers are very sensitive to Ammonia/Nitrite, I know the tank is cycled but adding a 9" eel will be detrimental to your GSPs health. Twenty gallons is only enough for the Puffer, they're messy eaters. I think a 20g tank is too small for a 9" eel. You should read the ...

Anyone use this? If so, how do you calculate the dosage? I don't have a gram scale.

Re: I want another Puffer!

No I looked there, they have one that's for sale called a "red eye" but the people are morons it is def not a red eye (I know this isn't the irrubesco but a related species). They sell people things all the time by the wrong name and misidentify Puffers. They really are idiots. LOL. I hate...

Re: I want another Puffer!

Thanks for the replies,
I've decided I'm going to give this tank to my bf so he can get a F8. He didn't like Puffers at first but now he's in love with mine. He's really excited. I've hit my max for tanks. I'm getting a 36G this w/e to house a trio of SAPs. :D
