Re: What happened to the water?
Yes, I suction the gravel when I do my water changes too as I can get out the waste and some cloudy stuff from the gravel area.

Re: What happened to the water?
I did give my GSP a treat with some Krills but I didn't pay attention if he finished it all or not....hmmm.....that might've been it....big glob of food......
No live plants and the GSP lives alone in the tank cuz it managed to kill off my other GSP half a year ago.
Thanks for the quick responses.

Re: What happened to the water?
I did change the water in the two weeks, my usual 25-30% weekly water change.
My tap water has a pH around 7.6-8.2 (fluctuates from month to month).

So my puffie (GSP) that has been surviving since the beginning of my tank....has just passed away last night after struggling for a few days.... During the XMas period, I only did the quick "give blood worms a day" and go...didn't really deal with anything else. Before the XMas period, my ...

Re: F8 Slowly Dying
Went to the pet store today and found that Cyclops has passed away some time between last night and this morning. :crying2: So now I have all the time in the world to cycle my tank and get it right before I get another puffer. Contemplating on either getting another F8...or else a GSP......I'll have...

Re: F8 Slowly Dying
So the update at the moment is..... I have taken Cyclops (F8's name) into the local pet shop for hospitalization. They gave me a dirty look when they tested the water he came in. They're going to try to nurse it back to health, they are not sure if they can do it because Cyclops has stopped eating a...

Ick Guard on F8
In my local store, they only sell Ick Guard and not Ick Guard II. For the F8, I believe that it would be recommended to use Ick Guard II because it is more friendly with scaleless fishes. Has anyone used Ick Guard regular on scaleless fish before? Anyone know what the actual difference between the t...

Re: F8 Slowly Dying
I'm continuing the massive water changes daily. Right now, he's just bouncing at the bottom, breathing heavily and making some attempt to swim up.....but only drops back down. It's sad watching him wither like this..... I tested my tap water and there are no traces of NO2 or NO3 in the water I'm usi...

F8 Slowly Dying
I've taken 2 puffers from my girlfriend's place a month back and placed them in a 10g tank. Off the bat, the 1 puffer died, by the time I figured out it was Ich, it had died. I didn't really research before taking care of it, but it was a quick instinct call. My girlfriend's community of labs and ba...
