Re: Everyone Meet Zoe!
I think it might be a baby Molly.. but it seems crazy that in the DAY I've had her, she'd had babies...
There are TWO in there now. Swimming in the open and Zoe is completely not interested in them. lol... I guess she's not much of a hunter.

Re: Everyone Meet Zoe!
Ok- seriously... Zoe must be the most passive puffer on the planet. There is a BABY FISH in the tank. I have no idea what it is or how it got there. But Zoe has swam past it without caring!!!!

Re: Everyone Meet Zoe!
one thing that has to be said about the bumblebees in there.. they make sure NO food is left to decay! Those things are so thorough! I'll watch my levels!
Any suggestions on what I can add to make things more exciting for her?

Everyone Meet Zoe!
Well.. officially... meet Zoe! She's been home for officially 24 hours! I'm estimating her to be about 2.5 inches. She was the brightest colored puffer at the store. She swam up to the glass when I went to go look in. I didn't have much to think about... she came home (I'm a sucker!!) She was in a t...

Re: How to tell a Puffer's age?
She's a Figure 8 puffer... I'm not sure how long she was in the pet store where she was but when I found her she swam right up to the glass and she seemed in good shape. She's not as fat as some of the puffers I see on here but she's active and she's exploring her tank really well (I need more plant...

Re: F8 was kept in freshwater at petstore, how to transition?
Well- long story short... My boyfriend and I bought a house. We were too scared to move the 30 gallon. Good thing my dad wanted it. So we're keeping it at his house till we can save enough money for at least a 90 gallon :-D The move was rough. I lost two of my DP's during it :( and NONE of the store...

How to tell a Puffer's age?
It's Zoe's first day home... she ate some brine shrimp and some bloodworms but she's ignoring the snail I plopped in there. But I'm happy that she's eating!
She's about 2.5 inches..... I promise pictures tomorrow!
I'm curious if there's any way to tell the age of a puffer?

Re: F8 was kept in freshwater at petstore, how to transition?
Gotcha...
She's really active! She's literally doing circles around the tank checking everything out! She's absolutely stunning!! She's even more active than my Dwarf Puffer is!

F8 was kept in freshwater at petstore, how to transition?
I took the PLUNGE into another puffer! This time I got a F8 puffer for a 20 gallon tank. I found out at a pet store - she looks GREAT! Bright yellow, black markings, nice white round belly!! Active!! Came RIGHT up to the glass to see me! I was like.. yep.. that's the one! I asked if they kept her in...

Re: One DP ok?
I didn't think of it because my guys where so healthy last time.
Poor thing. I should have thought of that...
If the little girl won't be sad alone (she has her Oto friends) then I'll just move her into the 5.5 tank then.

One DP ok?
We just moved and during the move I lost 2 of my 3 DP's in my 10 gallon tank :( I tried replacing one of them and the new puffer was just thin looking and wouldn't eat at all for me. He ended up dying because he wouldn't eat anything I tried feeding him! Now I'm stressed to try another puffer. When ...

Re: How to tell preggo DP?!
Would a DP be protective of the area? I went to feed and she immediately went to the same spot in the back. Very unlike a DP!! My little ones are front and center when food comes. Could she be protecting something? It's so odd. I know the others aren't bothering her. I've watched them interact. It's...
